Nikon Reveals Compact Camera With Built-in Projector
Nikon’s just revealed a rather unique addition to their arsenal of digital compacts – the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj – a camera with a built in projector! The camera features a 12.1 megapixel sensor with ISO 6400 sensitivity, and a 5x wide-angle zoom lens with five-way VR stabilization. The LED-powered projector packed into its frame puts up a 40-inch image for slideshows and will also support music, effects and transitions.

The camera’s due for a September release in the US, for a price of $430. Apart from this, the S70 was released, which is essentially the same camera with a OLED display rather than the projector; it will cost $400 and will be available in the following color combinations – Red and Red, Champagne and Beige, Black and Black, or Champagne and Light Brown.
