Tuesday June 1st Alice and Wonderland is Coming to DVD. Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Mia Wasikowska as Alice all star in this movie. This was originally a book by Lewis Carroll and a classic Disney film that has been influenced by the mind of Tim Burton. This movie has a great plot, it is perfect for children, and it is a definite must for the DVD collection. The bright colors throughout the various backgrounds and the talking animals in the movie will hold children’s interests the entire time. For many girls they get a chance to place themselves in Alice’s place and become a strong female that gets to go on an adventure of a lifetime. For boys they get a chance to see imaginative violence and creatures that are conjured only from the mind of Carroll, Disney, and Burton. Truly it’s an adventure for the whole family along with lots of literary references that the entire family can gain from. Since it is a continuation from the original Disney version the plot shows how much Alice has grown and changed up until now. Because of this, it gives many adults a chance to relive and remember the scenes from their childhood. The plot is basically Alice returning back to Wonderland after she has grown up and now getting a chance to relieve her first experience. If you need a DVD that is sure to take you on an adventure, this is the one for you. It is a classical story with a Burton twist.
